The Gift of Life

Each time Kate goes in for treatment it is not lost on me.
Thank you to everyone who takes the time out of their busy schedules to give the gift of life.

Before Kate came into our lives, I naively thought that blood donations were used primarily for surgeries, major accidents and other catastrophic events.
While this is true, this precious gift of life is used for so much more!!!
We have the honor of meeting many children who would not be alive today were it not for the donations of others.  Kids who are battling cancer,  kids who live with the physical pain of Sickle Cell Anemia, kids who have various other chronic blood disorders who would all DIE without your generous gift.

Kids like these precious ones...

One hour of your time can save up to 3 lives!
It is amazing!
1 Unit of packed red blood cells gives our daughter the energy she needs to function like a normal, everyday 4 year old little girl.

If you live in the State of Florida you can visit the One Blood website here to find out where local drives are in your area.
EVERY DONATION MATTERS!
It matters to us.

On a totally different note, we are so sad to say goodbye to our sweet Erin.
Erin has been the Child Life Specialist at out hospital.
She is very dear to Kate and me.  Kate looks forward to seeing her Erin every month.
We know she will be a blessing in her next location.
We miss you and love you Miss Erin!
