On the Campaign Trail...

Andrew has decided to run for the office of Student Counsel Vice President. He and his Campaign Manager worked hard on his posters with a revisit of the great campaign slogan from 1983: "No Payne, No Gain... Vote PAYNE for Vice President". We were very touched that Andrew was asked to run by several different faculty members:) He was hesitant because he was not thrilled about giving a speech in front of 300 plus students. We talked it over with him and convinced him he could pull it off. He did a WONDERFUL job with his speech telling the crowd that at they only needed to remember 2 things: 1- His name was Andrew Payne and he was running for Vice President and 2- It was his birthday. He did not want anyone to sing, he just wanted them to vote for him! It was so cute. I have it recorded, but it came out blurry, so I will not add it to the blog... The 3-6th grade voted today and we will have the verdict on Monday:) Not sure how it will turn out, but what a great experience:)
