No sooner do Kevin and Sam return than I send Andrew off to a full week of Boy Scout Camp. He was very excited, but also very nervous about his little adventure. The Boys Scouts also stay on Camp Schwabb, but they stayed in tents and not BOQ rooms. Big difference, especially during rainy season and with heat indexes nearing 100 degrees!!! yikes! They are staying in 12 man tents with about 6 boys to each tent. He was thrilled to be with all his best friends in the troop:) Upon arrival he needed to carry his stuff to the site as well as pick up a cot and put it together. He was doing great when I left him. He was SO excited to start working on some serious merit badges. The Marines are up there for the week with speed boats and teaching the boys the Motorboat merit badge. 2 days of book work and 3 days of flying all over the East China Sea!!! A boys dream. He is also very psyched about Pioneering. I think he secretly thinks it will prepare him for his future aspiration as a contestant on Survivor! Here are some pictures of Andrew getting settled in to Camp Okinawa!!!!

Tent Area... setting up Marine Cots...

Helping a Buddy...

One of Andrew best friends, Richard. They are sharing a tarp to keep their feet dry and clean:)

Scott hopes to make it up on Friday and stay with the boys until they return on Sunday! We will keep you posted on his status. It is reported that he will complete 5 merit badges and earn his Totin Chip. He is also taking "Learn to Dive" where the Dive Master comes tot he pool and lets him breath of the regulator, clear his mask, wear the tanks and BCD, learn to inflate and deflate his BCD etc etc. I know he is going to return itching to take the full on Scuba class!
