Pack 35 Blue and Gold - Happy 100th Birthday Scouts!!!
Every year, Scouts all over the world come together to celebrate the birthday of Scouting. This year, the Boy Scouts of America celebrates 100 years of service! The birthday celebration happens each year at the Blue and Gold Dinner. This is also an event where cub scouts honor their 5th grade friends for making it through the whole Cub Scout program and earning their Arrow of Light. That is a huge honor and is the highest rank a Cub Scout can earn. It is also the only piece from the Cub Scout uniform that a scout can wear on his Boy Scout uniform. Finally, this is also a time where some packs choose to honor all their Cub Scouts that have earned their rank patches. I am a proud mama! Kevin has earned his Webelo rank and Sam and earned his Bear rank!!! It is also a little bittersweet. I know that this time next year, my sweet Baby Kevin will cross over to Boy Scouting. It just does not seem possible! Enjoy our pictures form the Blue and Gold!
