I cannot even believe we are nearly in the middle of November. It has been a crazy month so far!!!
Two weekends ago was so busy but oh so fun!
Andrew raced his last race of the season at Districts. We were so heartbroken. The guys missed regionals by 3 points:(
Look out for these guys next year! They only had one Senior on the varsity team. They are only going to get faster and will certainly be a force to be reckoned with!!!!
{Note the attempt at their "Game Face"}
Kev and Sam played their last game of the regular season. Even though they lost their last game, they did secure a spot in the playoffs and will play their first play off game this Saturday!
Then there was homecoming. Sigh... I watched my grubby handed, blue eyed cutie transform into a man right before my eyes!
Lots of the kids from the Cross Country team paired up and went together...
So sweet!
They clean up nice!
We were SO blessed by a visit from some of our oldest and dearest Marine Corps friends stopped by for a visit. Their oldest son L made it to Regionals for swim which just happened to be here in Pensacola last weekend!
We are so thankful for friendships that stand the test of time. It was as if no time had passed at all. We adore the Moberg family and are so grateful for their love and friendship all these years! We have been though the infant and preschool years together, braved living overseas, ongoing, never ending deployments and sudden random trips around the world (Hubbies, not us poor pitiful wives left behind...) The Mobergs are a treasure for sure and we promised not to let 5 years go before getting together again!
(God AWFUL picture but it is what I have!!!)
Last weekend we were thrilled to have Grammy and Papa come for their first ever Marine Corps Birthday Ball!!! Papa's birthday was just a couple days before they arrived, so we decided to celebrate Papa's Happy Day:)
Andrew was a little anxious to bite into poor Papa's cake!
Kate was ALL. ABOUT. IT.
Happy Birthday Papa! So fun to celebrate with you!!!!
Pre Ball snapshots before we headed to Jackson's Steakhouse for dinner!
*Local Pensacola Reader take note! This place was awesome!!!!
This year marked our 20th year of Marine Corps Balls!!!! Through babies and deployments we have hit more together than not!!! I complain about going every year, and every year, I am so glad I went...
It was memorable to share this large part of our lives with my parents!
Thanks so much for being our dates Grammy and Papa!!
That, my friends, is November, so far, in a nutshell!!!
