Scott just spent the past 12 days jet setting around the world. He left for Wichita, KS a couple weeks ago. One of his stops??? Yelizovo, Russia. (They would prove to be a thorn in his side and the cause of an international incident on the way home to Japan...) Here is a picture of a Russian Airliner at the Yelizovo airport....

Scott made it to KS without incident. All was well until they discovered that Russians would no longer play nice and let them use their airspace or land in their country. He had a very stressful week trying to find a way back to Japan. He was so stressed he never even made it to Target for me!!! That is STRESSED!! Well, ever the planner, find a way he did. Scott and his Co Pilot Kyle and Tech Kenny set off for Alaska. Here is Scott by his plane (AKA Barbie Jet) in Juneau Alaska.

An Up close and personal of our favorite pilot... What is a trip without a self portrait?

Next our fearless crew stops in Adak, Alaska for some gas and snacks... Not necessarily in that order...

The Barbie Jet in Adak

Next stop? Shemya, Alaska... This is a barren wasteland on the outermost island of Alaska. It is 250 miles from Russia.

I wasn't kidding...
The guys left for Japan after waiting a couple days for the winds to cooperate. Their plane caused a bit of a stir by landing in Kushiro, Hokkaido. The Japanese Governor was not happy about it. Scott had several media camera crews out there filming him. Here's the link.... http://www.japantoday.com/jp/news/421248. Despite the ruckus, he made it home safe and sound on Thursday afternoon. We were so glad to have him.
