Third Payne Boy = Third Arrow of Light

Finally, after 9 years in Cub Scouting, our last little cub earned the esteemed Arrow of Light award! The Arrow of Light is the highest award a Cub Scout can earn in scouting and the only award from Cub Scouting that a boy can wear on his Boy Scout uniform. We are so proud of you, Sam!

The next day we attended our NINTH and FINAL Blue and Gold Dinner!!!! This Pack goes all out. Scott says it is like every Soccer Mom's good idea all tossed into one evening: Decorations, Cake Raffles, each den Raffles a theme basket, gift card Raffles, 80's music in the background, lots of chatter on the microphone, awards, recognitions and a catered dinner. Whew! Exhausting!!! Having been in a much smaller, overseas Pack before this enormous NOVA Pack, the Blue and Golds do not even resemble one another. As nice as this big dinner is, I miss the intimacy of knowing every cub and family. That said, check out the fanfare!
