The men of the House of Payne were all going on a Boy Scout Camp Out from Saturday to Monday.
What were we two girls to do with ourselves all weekend long?
I did not feel like cleaning the house, so we figured we would take this rare opportunity when there is NOTHING happening over the weekend, to drive to my parents, just Kate and me.
Outside of a few melt downs in the van (Kate is not the best car traveler!) we had an uneventful trip.
It was a blast having my parents show us around!
How cool is this new movie theater in their new towns square just down the street from their home? It was so cool on the inside as well. It looked like an old bard with antiques up in the attic and a John Deere tractor. Adorable!!!! It also has those nice comfy recliners to sit in while you watch. Nice!!
LOVE this picture!!!!
The girls...
Just cause I wanted to try black and white ;)

My parents' community has a ton of clubs and groups to be a part of. My mom decided that she wanted to give baton twirling a whirl!
Being from the North East, we all kind of laughed at first because, growing up, there was never much in the way of baton twirling and big time marching bands.
Living in the South now, however, we see that it is HUGE!!!
A lot of the women my mom twirls with have been doing this since they were in grade school!!!! So fun!
I am so proud of my mom for getting out there and learning a new skill! She is having a blast and has made some great new friends in the process. She started a year ago and is now going to a Half Time Show competition at Disney World next month!!! I got to be there and watch their practice! They looked awesome!!! They range in age from 50- over 80!!!
Check out her twirling self!!!!
Impressive!!!!
SO proud of my mom!!!!
What an awesome trip!!!!
