Russia Adoption Update {A Cut and Paste From Joy}

Thank you all for rising up in prayer!  It is the best, most powerful thing we can do in this instance.  here is a Facebook update I received from my friend Joy:

 Hi all, and thanks soooo much for your prayers! It's amazing, the strength you can gather from a network of prayers on your behalf.
We are holding on to hope. God called us to this little girl for a reason, and it just doesn't seem that the reason would be to meet her and then have to turn away. There is apparently an amendment being proposed, but the government goes in to shutdown for the holidays, which means we won't hear anything else for a couple of weeks. I'll keep you posted, though! And thanks again, Kelly, for writing this and rallying the warriors, and thanks to all who are praying for us.

Here is what I believe:

*God so graciously equips those He calls.

*God adores Joy her husband her daughter and her second daughter waiting in Russia.

*God is in control.  All the time.

*God has the power to work through the impossible.

*We, as a body of believers, need to rise up and pray that an amendment permitting families who have already filed paperwork with the Russian courts and met their children on the initial visit, be passed.

Thank you so much for praying on behalf of this precious family and for their little girl who deserves the love of a family.  What rejoicing there will be when this One Less comes home to her Forever Family!
