Nail Biter of a Kids vs Parents Soccer Game

WOW!! What fun we had at Andrew's last soccer practice/ awards dinner!!! Coach decided that it would be a "great" idea to have a parents verses Kids game. So... A game it was. The parents dubbed themselves The Oompa Loompas. Team Oompa Loompa gave the Gladiators a run for their money. Kevin volunteered to be the resident photographer. He did a pretty awesome job. Here are a few shots from the game:

The game started with a fast move by the Oompa Loompas. We struck hard and fast with a driving goal down the field to score one right away! We were feeling strong. This is a picture of a quick recovery at the hands of star forward Andrew Payne who was able to boost the Gladiators moral with a pretty sweet goal!

Next is one of me... I was the secret weapon on the Oompa Loompas... Clearly!

Next we have a pretty cool one of Andrew... Kev was a real camera whiz!

We headed into half time with the Gladiators who had taken the lead with a score of 2-1. The parents were pretty concerned that all would be lost... Hmmmm. Even though we were rivals on The Fields of Friendly Strife, we all enjoyed sharing a half time break...

We even got a picture from the Peanut Gallery... I mean Cheering section. Sam thinks he is being funny while playing Gameboy with his friends Conlan (One of Kevin's classmates) and Hunter.

The game finished with an awe inspiring goal by the Oompa Loompas tying the game at 2-2. The best part of the night was when Andrew received his trophy...

Even though Kev did a great job with the camera... I still left the camera in the hands of a 7 year old. When you do that, expect a lot of this....
