Happy 8th Birthday to my sweet Kevin!!! Kevin had a great Birthday weekend. While Papa, Andrew and I were in the Bronx; Kevin, Sam and Grammy headed out to the Great Escape Fun Park to ride the rides! On Sunday we went to Jim and Amy's church to hear the kids sing in an end of VBS production:) We had a small party with his cousins and brothers yesterday.
Scott and I are so grateful that Kev is with us. Each time he turns another year older we are reminded how blessed we are. Kevin was born with RDS (immature lungs). He was in the NICU
for a while after he was born. The words the doctor told us 8 years ago still come to mind frequently: "If this baby had been born 10 years ago, he never would have lived." Praise God for advances in modern medicine and even more, praise God for the gift of Kevin Payne!
