Highest Award in Cub Scouting

Today, my little one was awarded the highest award in Cub Scouting... The Arrow of Light.  What a special ceremony for Den 4.  The Arrow of Light is a very special award.  It is the culmination of all the boys have done in Cub Scouting.  It represents hours and hours of hard work by the Scout, his leaders and his parents.  Earning this award is the last big step before crossing into Boy Scouts.  It is also the only piece of the Cub Scout uniform a Scout is allowed to wear on his Boy Scout uniform.

I am so proud of Kevin.  We moved in the middle of his Cub Scouting years.  He was not able to finish with the boys he began Tigers with.  Kevin is the most reserved of all my boys.  It took a lot of courage for him to join a group of boys who have been together since the first grade.  He joined them and he excelled.  We are so very proud of all his hard work!  His Dad and his brother are so excited for him to join them over at Troop 43!

Kev is pointing out his AOL patch while Scott makes a point to show his AOL knot that he is allowed to wear on HIS Scout uniform.  Yup, folks...  That is why I married him!
