Awana Awards!

Well, tonight marked the end of another year of Awana! Each of the boys were able to earn their end of the year awards for finishing their book. Sam finished his second Sparks book and got his second book award ribbon. He worked very hard and was thrilled with his prize.

Kevin had received a very special award tonight. Awana is broken into 4 age groups: Cubbies for 3 and 4 year olds, Sparks from kindergarten to 2nd grade, TNT (Truth in Training) for 3rd - 6th grade and Trek for Jr High. Since Kevin started Cubbies he has moved along with his age group. He did not move back a year in Awana. He is the only 1st grader in the second grade book as Sam is the only kindergartner in the first grade book. When a clubber finishes all three Sparks books he wins the Sparky award. Kevin was thrilled to get his Sparks plaque this evening!!! Yeah Kevin!!!

Andrew finished his second TNT book as well. He received his really cool trophy for that. He was pleased. It was a difficult book to complete! Not only did he win that, but he also won the title "Clubber of the Year"!!! He was thrilled. He was awarded this for his hard work but more importantly because he was such a motivator to those around him and just plain on fire for the Lord! I was totally crying as they read though all these really neat things about him. They mentioned that you could usually find him talking (definitely my kid!!!) but that when he was asked a question about a verse he was very good at putting it into context. Funny they mentioned he would also be asking YOU a question by the end! They clearly know my son! Scott and I were so proud of him and really touched and honored that they would choose Andrew for this award. We are blessed beyond belief!!! Thanks for sharing our joy in all our boys accomplishments this year! It means so much to us that they are hiding God's word so deep in their hearts at a very young age. God is Good!!!
