North Carolina Adventures

After getting Scott somewhat acclimated to the time zone, we packed up a van and a big old black Buick and headed for the mountains of NC. It was simply breathtaking! What a beautiful place. We rented a house that slept about 100. Really it slept all 9 of us with room for more. Arrival day was spent settling in and relaxing by the pool. It was also Bo and John's anniversary. Check out this "official date" photo. They claimed it was cheesy... I thought it was cute!

After a good night's sleep we headed out for adventure on the "Noc". I think this word is really french for very cold and very fast moving river. We got to go on our first ever White Water Raft Ride. We gained a new appreciation for Bill's amazing (read crazy) kayaking skills while watching his fellow kayakers preform stunts that should be illegal! Here is our raft pictures in sequence as we dumped ourselves down a waterfall!

WE MADE IT!!!!

Our second day we got to go on a super long hike in the mountains. We got to see 2 different waterfalls. Here are the boys panning for gold and their college education with Aunt Sarah and Uncle Brad...
