Medical Exam and Random Cuteness!

Today was Katie's Medical Exam.  It was an... interesting experience.  We walked in to an over crowed facility and were ushered back to a place just for adopted children.  We waited for about 10 minutes or so to be called back by a very sweet doctor who checked Kate out from top to bottom.   She was pretty frightened by all the commotion and the doctor.  She cried her soft cry as he examined her.  He then weighed and measured her and I think the non stop eating has caused some weight gain;)  She weighed in at a whopping 21 pounds fully clothed and was 82 cm.   She then moved to the ENT department where they preformed a very rudimentary hearing test consisting of a key board sound to check her left ear and a squeak toy to test the right.  Following all this she had her TB test.  They whipped that needle out and this baby did not even flinch.  Not a single tear, nothing.  Other than a swollen spleen (common for Beta Thal kids) she got a clean bill of health.
The ENT doctor...  Our guide Elvin is on the right.  He is FANTASTIC!  He is expecting his first baby in just a few weeks.   Watching him with all these babies makes me certain he is going to be a great Daddy!  He is telling Katie what is happening to her and saying soothing things in Chinese.

Medical Exams wear a girl out!
Auntie Beth and Auntie Hillary!  These are for YOU!  Big fan of Bitty... BIG fan!!!!
She loved putting the hat on and off.
She needed a little help getting Biggie, I mean Bitty into position.
She insisted on carrying both babies around in her arms!
Each day Katie unfolds just a little more and we are learning more and more about our little sweetie.  Today marks our one week anniversary of getting her!
*She is speaking!!!  A lot of Chinese.  It is beyond adorable to listen to!
*She says mama, daddy, uh oh, and bye bye in English
*Her fine motor skills floor us!
*She gets tired very easily and cannot walk too far before needing to be carried.
*She LOVES to laugh and thinks she is the funniest thing going  (We think so too!)
*Tonight is the first night she did not cry herself to sleep.
*She must eat every morsel on her plate.  This morning she was putting her whole face in her congee bowl to make sure she did not miss any.
*She loves when Daddy lifts her high in the air.
*She helps put her clothes on.
*She loves to fill bowls with toys and dump them out.  Apparently it is quite hysterical.
*She is painfully shy around people she is unfamiliar with.  She will look at them, but she will not interact.
*She is 100% ours!

We are coveting your prayers, love, comments and emails!  I know I have not responded to each individually but know they mean the WORLD to us!

Andrew, Kevin and Sam,
We love you all so much and miss you so much it hurts.  5 more days.  It cannot come fast enough.  Know we are praying every day for you.  Andrew- Special prayers going out for your first track meet.  One foot in front of the other.  Do your best.  We are so proud of each of you.  We cannot wait for you to meet this sweet girl.  She is going to melt your hearts!  We love you!!!
